With over 30 years of experience, Matsyendra has a wealth of knowledge in practicing and teaching Yoga Nidra. He learned the practice directly while living for over a decade in the ashram of Swami Janakananda, the oldest living disciple of Swami Satyananda who formalised the practice in the early 1960s.
